Software Engineer - Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The role focuses on building and maintaining human data platforms that ingest, process, and serve large-scale, human-generated datasets. This is a fully remote, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
• Build and maintain backend services that support high-throughput data flows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in complex systems.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Understanding of data governance, security and compliance best practices.

Required skills

• Python, Java or Go for backend development.
• Kafka, Spark or similar distributed processing technologies.
• AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration.
