Software Engineer - Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable platforms that ingest, process, and analyze human‑generated datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for large‑scale human‑generated data.
• Develop and maintain backend services supporting real‑time and batch processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability and performance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Ability to design and optimise data pipelines for performance and scalability.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka or Spark.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
