Software Engineer - I/II (Rails)

About the role

As a Software Engineer (Rails) at Staunch you will join a dynamic engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high‑quality web applications built on Ruby on Rails. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable, and efficient software solutions that align with client needs and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates to improve code quality.
• Contribute to RESTful API design and ensure robust database interactions.
• Work with product, design, and QA teams to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1‑3 years of professional software development experience focused on Ruby on Rails.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and eagerness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.
