Software Quality Assurance Engineer – Healthcare

About the role

Medcare MSO is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join its HealUs QA Team in Lahore. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of web‑based EHR and Practice Management System applications used in the U.S. healthcare market.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain QA artifacts.
• Execute hands‑on functional, regression, database, and API testing on web‑based EHR applications.
• Review requirements and design documents to guarantee comprehensive test coverage.
• Prepare test estimates, detailed test plans, and document execution results.
• Validate HL7 files and CCDA documents accurately.
• Monitor software quality across all SDLC phases and ensure traceability of test cases to requirements.
• Identify, document, and report bugs using JIRA, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and debug issues effectively.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of QA experience, preferably in Healthcare IT.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare EHR and Practice Management System domains.
• Hands‑on experience with at least two healthcare modules such as Patient Demographics, Scheduler, Encounter, Labs, Medication, Immunization, CCDA, or HL7 file validation.
• Proficiency in SQL and database validation.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
