Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SQAE)

About the role

Folium AI is seeking a detail‑oriented QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of its software products. The role combines manual testing expertise with hands‑on automation to identify issues beyond standard use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and designs to spot gaps and risks.
• Design comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge‑case scenarios.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, exploratory, and cross‑browser testing.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium or Cypress.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and report, track, and follow up on bugs until resolution.
• Prepare test plans, test reports, and QA documentation while collaborating with developers and project managers.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis and contribute to continuous QA process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 1.5–3 years of professional software QA experience.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and testing methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with manual testing, test case design, and at least one automation framework.
• Familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps and basic SQL queries.

Required skills

• Automation frameworks: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress.
• Scripting: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python.
• API testing tools: Postman.
• CI/CD integration, REST APIs, HTTP status codes, browser developer tools.
• Basic performance testing: JMeter or k6 (nice to have).
• Security testing awareness: OWASP Top 10 (nice to have).
• Cross‑browser testing platforms: BrowserStack, Sauce Labs (nice to have).
