Solution Architect – AI, Platform & FinTech

About the role

NextGENi is seeking a Solution Architect to lead a high‑impact engineering function at the intersection of AI, platform engineering, and fintech. You will shape technical vision, design scalable cloud‑native systems, and build a lean, high‑performing team from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive engineering and platform strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead design and development of scalable, cloud‑native applications and distributed systems.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions, including LLM‑based systems and automation workflows.
• Establish engineering best practices, standards, and governance across teams.
• Oversee architecture decisions for APIs, microservices, and data platforms.
• Ensure system scalability, performance, security, and reliability.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing engineering team.
• Manage delivery timelines, processes, and team productivity.
• Collaborate with product, data, and leadership teams to align engineering with business outcomes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in software or platform engineering.
• 3+ years in engineering leadership or management.
• Hands‑on experience with AI/ML systems, preferably LLMs.
• Strong background with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure or similar).
• Deep understanding of system design, microservices, APIs, and distributed architectures.
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
• Experience in fast‑paced startup or scale‑up environments.
• Excellent communication skills to align technical and business stakeholders.
• Fintech or banking exposure is a plus.
