Structural Engineer (US Projects)

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Islamabad team, delivering structural design and analysis for projects based in the United States. The role involves close coordination with US clients and the use of American design codes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for residential, commercial and industrial projects located in the USA.
• Prepare calculations, drawings and reports in compliance with US codes such as IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC and NDS.
• Communicate with clients, architects and contractors, attending virtual meetings during US working hours as required.
• Review architectural drawings and develop appropriate structural solutions.
• Coordinate with drafting/BIM teams to ensure accurate construction documents.
• Ensure designs meet project timelines, budget and quality standards.
• Stay current on US structural codes and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience on US‑based structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, NDS).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Professional presence in client‑facing video meetings.
• PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to flexible hours overlapping US time zones.
