Supply Planning Specialist

About the role

The Supply Planning Specialist drives end‑to‑end raw material availability and inventory replenishment, ensuring alignment with yearly, monthly and weekly production plans. The role manages strategy and execution for strategic raw‑material categories, supplier relationships and operational planning.

Key responsibilities

• Convert sales forecasts into plant‑wise and line‑wise production plans, taking into account line capacities, shift patterns and working days.
• Assess long‑term demand, identify capacity enhancements, sourcing strategies and supply risks to support future growth.
• Support the S&OP process by providing raw‑material availability insights, risk assessments, inventory projections and recommendations to Sales, Marketing, Procurement and Operations.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply, resolve issues and align on capacity, lead times and future requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance—lead times, reliability, inventory positions and global constraints—to proactively mitigate supply‑chain risks.
• Collaborate with supply‑planning teams across manufacturing sites to align raw‑material requirements with production plans and business priorities.
• Develop monthly and weekly material requirement plans based on demand forecasts and production schedules.
• Manage inventory levels, safety stocks and replenishment parameters for all raw‑material categories, balancing availability with working‑capital optimization.
• Support weekly production planning by identifying and resolving material constraints to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Act as the supply‑chain focal point for New Product Development, ensuring timely material setup, sourcing and inventory build‑up.
• Track and analyse key supply‑chain KPIs related to material availability, inventory health, supplier performance and working capital, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree.
