Support Specialist (L1) – Fintech Payments

About the role

NymCard is looking for a Support Specialist (L1) to provide front‑line application and production support for its modern card issuing platform. You will be the first responder for incidents and service requests, working in a 24/7 shift rotation and ensuring SLA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging and resolving L1 incidents and service requests, keeping tickets updated and communicating status to stakeholders.
• Monitoring application health, jobs, integrations and raising escalations for performance or availability issues.
• Executing standard operational tasks and health checks following runbooks, and supporting sanity checks after releases.
• Investigating issues using SQL queries for data validation and reviewing logs on Unix/Linux hosts.
• Maintaining knowledge‑base articles, known error records and handover notes between shifts.

Required profile

• 2 to 4 years of L1 application or production support experience in payments or banking.
• Hands‑on experience with ISO 8583 and familiarity with card or transaction flows.
• Comfortable working with Unix/Linux, basic shell usage and log review.
• Ability to write and run SQL queries; experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Clear written and verbal communication, strong ticket hygiene and willingness to work rotational shifts.
