System Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a System Administrator to manage and optimise our server, network and cloud services. The role ensures high availability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure while supporting end‑users and enterprise applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and patch Windows Server and Linux systems in physical and virtual environments.
• Administer virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper‑V) and manage host resources, capacity and VM lifecycle.
• Manage server hardware, SAN/NAS storage and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and the Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID).
• Handle user lifecycle processes including onboarding, role changes and off‑boarding.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, switches, routers, wireless access points and structured cabling across sites.
• Administer firewalls, VPNs and remote‑access solutions, and monitor network performance.
• Configure, monitor and test backup and disaster‑recovery solutions, managing data retention and restoration.
• Implement endpoint protection, antivirus/EDR, patch management and system‑hardening standards.
• Provide L2/L3 support for hardware, software, operating systems and connectivity issues, including ERP (SAP S/4HANA) and reporting tools (Power BI).
• Maintain accurate documentation, SOPs, network diagrams and asset registers, and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization.
• Strong background in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience managing network infrastructure, firewalls and VPN solutions.
• Knowledge of backup, disaster‑recovery and data‑protection processes.
• Familiarity with endpoint security, patch management and system hardening.
• Ability to provide escalated support for enterprise applications such as SAP S/4HANA and Power BI.
