System Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a System Support Engineer to join Zameen.com’s Lahore office. The role focuses on maintaining the stability, security and performance of our Windows‑based infrastructure and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze functional problems and devise rapid, feasible solutions.
• Configure servers, manage backups and ensure systems are ready for production.
• Monitor WAN/LAN health using SolarWinds and generate regular reports.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot Wi‑Fi networks and connected devices.
• Provide Windows systems administration, including support for multiple OS versions and virtualization technologies.
• Administer and maintain the Remedy Trouble‑Ticket and Action Request systems, including the known error database.
• Develop, publish and maintain statistical and custom management reports.
• Update and protect web content, manage access rights and enforce information‑assurance policies.
• Install new software and hardware (servers, printers, workstations) and set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
• Oversee system security, install antivirus solutions and resolve network faults.
• Perform day‑to‑day network monitoring, maintenance and planning of future improvements.
• Provide technical support and training to staff and supervise help‑desk personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 2–5 years of experience in system support or IT infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving, organization and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues in simple terms.
• Team‑player attitude with a commitment to continuous learning.
