Systems Engineer – Cloud & IT Infrastructure

About the role

Eon is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support its AWS‑based healthcare platform. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of the infrastructure that powers patient management and clinical decision tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day IT and system support across infrastructure, applications, and user environments.
• Manage, monitor, and maintain AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, and related resources.
• Troubleshoot system, network, and cloud issues proactively.
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, and patch management.
• Maintain system performance, availability, and security best practices.
• Monitor infrastructure with standard tools and respond to alerts/incidents.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve platform reliability.
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Identify opportunities to optimise performance and cost in AWS.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in IT/System Support or Systems Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls).
• Good communication and collaboration abilities.
