Tax Specialist – Corporate Tax & Sales Tax Management

About the role

Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO) is looking for a Tax Specialist to lead the company’s tax compliance function. The role involves managing sales tax, income tax, and withholding tax obligations while ensuring timely filings and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit end‑to‑end sales tax returns, including all required annexures.
• Perform quarterly advance income tax calculations and file the annual income tax return.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors for timely submissions and resolution of tax‑related queries.
• Execute weekly withholding tax payments, reconcile accounts, and compile quarterly withholding tax statements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all tax filings and reconciliations.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and ensure continuous compliance.
• Assist in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Strengthen internal controls related to tax processes and reporting.

Required profile

• CA (CAF), ACCA, MBA (Finance) or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate taxation experience.
• Strong knowledge of sales tax, income tax, and withholding tax regulations.
• Experience liaising with tax authorities and external advisors.
