Taxation Officer – Full‑time, Karachi

About the role

The Taxation Officer will be based on‑site in Karachi and will manage the company’s day‑to‑day tax compliance. This full‑time position works closely with finance, accounts and operations teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and support audits.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file corporate, sales and withholding tax returns and related statutory submissions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Pakistani tax laws and regulations.
• Ensure accurate tax calculations and reconcile tax ledgers.
• Support internal and external audits related to taxation.
• Coordinate tax‑related queries across finance, accounts and operations.
• Assist in tax planning within regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain organized tax records and respond to tax authority notices.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficient tax administration.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of local corporate, sales and withholding tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting and tax account reconciliation.
• Ability to prepare and review tax returns with high accuracy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field; professional tax or accounting certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in taxation or finance within distribution, pharmaceuticals or a related industry is preferred.
