Team Lead – SMD (Manufacturing)

About the role

As a Team Lead – SMD you will oversee shift operations at our Jhelum manufacturing site, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining high product quality and safety standards. You will lead a team of operators, drive continuous improvement, and act as a key liaison with maintenance and quality functions.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and control shift activities to achieve daily, weekly and monthly production goals.
• Maintain product quality by meeting MQI and FQI targets and reducing market complaints.
• Coordinate maintenance to minimise machine downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Deliver on the Master Production Schedule while reducing planned and unplanned downtime.
• Mentor and develop operators, encouraging multi‑skilling and continuous improvement ideas.
• Maintain positive relations with CBA representatives for smooth floor operations.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S policies to provide a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of experience in operations management or a similar manufacturing role.
• Proven leadership, decision‑making and resource‑management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Effective communication in English.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 quality systems.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Good knowledge of the ANT System.
