Team Lead - VELO

About the role

Pakistan Tobacco Company is looking for a Team Lead VELO in Jhelum, Pakistan. The role covers safe operations, quality and production delivery, and leads the team of engineers and technicians through shift performance, problem solving and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe operations, compliance with EHS standards, risk controls and proactive elimination of unsafe conditions.
• Deliver product consistently within specification, adhering to QMS, process controls, hygiene and quality standards.
• Own shift performance across OEE, MTBF, efficiency, downtime and plan attainment, identifying and addressing losses.
• Control blend waste, material losses and operational waste to improve conversion cost and efficiency.
• Lead, mentor and engage engineers and technicians, ensuring clear accountability and capability development.
• Drive DDS/shift reviews, performance tracking, handling of customer concerns and closure of operational issues.
• Lead structured problem-solving and improvement initiatives to reduce losses and set balanced standards.
• Deliver the production plan while responding to SKU complexity, NPI requirements and changing market priorities.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, inventory and material controls, documentation and manufacturing requirements.
• Work with Quality, Engineering, Planning, Warehouse and other support functions to remove constraints.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 1-2 years of experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment preferred; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong people leadership and team-management capability.
• Sound technical and operational mindset, with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, cost and people.
• Data-driven problem-solving and loss-elimination mindset, passion for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with ownership, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
