Team Leader – Payment Operations Remittances

About the role

The Team Leader – Payment Operations – Remittances will oversee the processing of inward and outward remittance transactions, ensuring compliance with turnaround times and operating procedures while delivering high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Verify remittance transactions against delivery standards and operating procedures.
• Interact with internal and external customers to clarify issues and provide error‑free service.
• Maintain and update documentation and correspondence records for easy retrieval.
• Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support digitisation initiatives.
• Record data, errors and complaints in the PMIS, monitor staff productivity and take corrective actions.
• Handle enquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring timely resolution.
• Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), raise URF tickets and perform testing for system changes or enhancements.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of experience in a financial‑industry back‑office, preferably payment operations.
• Strong knowledge of payment flows and general banking rules and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to contribute to inward/outward remittance digitisation programs.
