Team Leader - Retail Store

About the role

Majid Al Futtaim Holding, a major shopping mall, retail, community and entertainment developer and operator in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia, is hiring a Team Leader for its Islamabad store. The role holder is responsible for applying quality, range and freshness standards to the goods offered so as to attract customers and meet sales targets, and for ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered within the section.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor competitor activities, including pricing, product range and promotions, and act on them to keep a competitive edge in the store's catchment area.
• Ensure compliance with commercial pricing policies, optimise departmental profitability and make best use of assets and resources.
• Oversee product assortment, negotiate supplier promotions and keep a competitive offering aligned with customer expectations.
• Ensure effective stock control, monitor stock value and availability, prevent out-of-stocks and coordinate orders and deliveries.
• Minimise waste and stock shrinkage while keeping appropriate stock levels.
• Keep displays correct, planograms implemented, new products visible and prices accurate.
• Monitor merchandisers' attendance and performance, support the team in delivering good customer service, and handle customer queries and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and hygiene standards and protect company know-how.

Required profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in retail.
• Experience in an operations supervisory role.
