Technical Lead - Web & Mobile Development

About the role

QF Network is looking for an experienced Technical Lead (Web & Mobile) to lead its software development team, oversee technical architecture and ensure high-quality delivery across several client projects. This is a senior technical leadership position, not an individual contributor role, and requires both deep engineering expertise and the ability to supervise multiple projects at once. The position is full-time and based in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and approve architecture for web and mobile projects, choosing technology stacks, frameworks, databases and system designs, and setting coding standards.
• Review and approve developers' code and pull requests, and set Git workflows, code review processes, testing guidelines and deployment standards.
• Lead a team of about 20 web and mobile developers, mentoring engineers and coordinating with project managers on timelines and priorities.
• Oversee the technical execution of multiple projects at once, identifying risks and keeping architecture and quality consistent.
• Research new technologies and build quick proofs of concept, and support project managers and sales teams with technical estimations and proposals.
• Take part in client meetings to discuss technical requirements and solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development, including at least 2 years in a Technical Lead or Engineering Team Lead role.
• Proven experience leading or supervising 10+ developers across multiple projects.
• Ability to make architectural decisions, review code across projects and guide teams; agency, software house or product environment experience preferred.
• Excellent English, able to explain technical concepts to clients and non-technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Modern web technologies such as React.js, Next.js, Node.js, PHP and Laravel.
• Mobile development with React Native or Flutter.
• REST APIs, GraphQL, system integrations and scalable architecture.
• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure), Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment workflows.
• Preferred: AI/LLM integrations, SaaS or Shopify apps, and experience with US, UK or European clients.
