Training Officer – Learning & Development

About the role

The Training Officer will support the planning, coordination and delivery of learning activities for MSF’s mission in Karachi. Working closely with the HR and Learning & Development teams, the role ensures training logistics, material preparation and participant management meet MSF standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise logistics for training events, including material distribution, equipment requests, transport arrangements and partner approvals.
• Create, translate, edit and proofread training materials, keeping them up‑to‑date and accessible.
• Collect and analyse pre‑ and post‑test evaluations, participant feedback and report on outcomes.
• Prepare documentation for participant selection and support training needs assessments, calendar planning and content design.
• Assist facilitators in delivering courses and step in as trainer when required.
• Act as focal point for mapping local providers, procurement, market analysis, contracts and payments.
• Support HR recruitment processes: organise written tests, manage candidate communications, maintain attendance records and archive documents.
• Maintain L&D data, record attendance, generate reports and manage contact lists.
• Ensure onboarding of new staff through briefings and debriefings with line managers.
• Scan, codify and rename digital HR and finance documents, and conduct basic internal trainings such as English language and computer skills.
• Cover HR Assistant duties during absences and perform any additional L&D, HR or administrative tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating training logistics and supporting learning & development initiatives.
• Familiarity with HR recruitment support and documentation management.
• Ability to translate, edit and proofread documents into the local language.
• Experience with procurement processes, market analysis and contract administration.
• Capability to conduct basic English language and computer‑skill trainings.
