Upwork Business Development Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Business Development Specialist to manage and grow our presence on Upwork. This full‑time remote position works closely with our internal team to improve positioning, identify opportunities, and support client acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Research relevant projects and opportunities on Upwork.
• Support agency profile positioning and structure.
• Prepare and send high‑quality, customized proposals.
• Identify optimal domains and categories for our services.
• Organise portfolio materials and match them with suitable opportunities.
• Track proposals, replies, leads, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal designers and technical staff when needed.
• Use AI tools to enhance research, proposal writing, and workflow efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on activities, leads, proposals, and results.

Required profile

• Previous experience with Upwork, freelancing platforms, lead generation, or business development.
• Strong written English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay organised, and report clearly.
• Basic understanding of software development, AI, VR/XR, web platforms, or digital services is a plus.
