Utilities Artisan

About the role

The Utilities Artisan is responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of key utilities equipment in an industrial plant. The role ensures reliable performance of chillers, cooling towers, compressors, pumps, generators and gas handling systems while supporting safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot absorption chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, pumps, gas generators, LPG and nitrogen handling facilities, and boilers.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all utility equipment.
• Apply predictive and preventive maintenance strategies to minimise downtime.
• Maintain housekeeping and product safety to comply with AIBI, IPS, FSSC 22000 and CRP standards.
• Ensure adherence to HSE rules in line with company safety policy.
• Execute any additional tasks or projects assigned by the Line Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Technology or 2nd Class Boiler Operator certification.
• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience with refrigeration, air compressors, water treatment and heat exchangers.
• Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Computer literate and able to produce technical documentation.
• Flexibility and endurance to work in a challenging environment.
