Vice President, Learning & Development

About the role

The Vice President of Learning & Development will lead Mashreq’s strategic learning agenda in Pakistan, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This senior role is responsible for designing, implementing and measuring holistic learning programmes that support both behavioural and technical growth across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive learning strategy aligned with Mashreq’s global objectives and local needs.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to identify learning gaps, design innovative training solutions and evaluate their impact.
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) ecosystem, ensuring consistent delivery of programmes across all locations.
• Plan and control the annual L&D budget, DNA and calendar, including mandatory regulatory training.
• Lead the creation of in‑house e‑learning content and collaborate with external providers for specialised training.
• Deliver and enhance structured leadership development and competency programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of Learning & Development experience, preferably in banking or finance.
• Proven expertise in training needs analysis, solution deployment and learning impact evaluation.
• Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills at senior level.
• Ability to manage budgets and drive strategic initiatives.
