Video Editor (Remote)

About the role

MotionOx is an Islamabad-based video production studio that turns raw footage and creative ideas into video content, including UGC, Meta and TikTok ads, YouTube videos, Reels and Shorts, commercials, documentaries, wedding films and motion graphics. It is looking for a Video Editor to turn footage into polished, audience-focused content, working from briefs and creative direction and delivering finished assets on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review footage and project briefs, then build clear, compelling edits suited to each platform and audience
• Edit short-form social content, UGC and paid ads, YouTube videos, commercials and longer-form projects
• Improve pacing and continuity with cuts, transitions, music, sound, titles and motion graphics
• Organize project files, follow naming and versioning practices and incorporate client or team feedback
• Export final videos to the required specifications, aspect ratios and delivery formats
• Coordinate with producers and creative teammates to clarify requirements, share progress and meet deadlines

Required profile

• Practical video editing experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or comparable software
• Strong visual storytelling, pacing, continuity and shot-selection skills for short-form and long-form video
• Ability to edit social ads and platform-native content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and YouTube
• Working knowledge of audio cleanup, music selection, basic color correction, titles and transitions
• Familiarity with motion graphics workflows and tools such as Adobe After Effects is an advantage
• Careful file organization, version control, export settings and attention to detail across multiple projects
• Ability to interpret creative briefs, handle feedback, prioritize deadlines and communicate progress
• A portfolio or reel showing polished edits across relevant formats is expected
