Virtual Dental Assistant (Remote)

About the role

The Virtual Dental Assistant supports dental providers by managing documentation, charting, and treatment coordination workflows. Working remotely, you ensure patient records are accurate, organized, and readily available for clinical use across U.S. dental practices.

Key responsibilities

• Update and maintain dental charts, provider notes, scanned forms, and clinical documentation.
• Upload, label, categorize, and route consent forms, x‑rays, and treatment plans within dental software.
• Track pending treatment plans, verify supporting documentation, and manage recall workflows.
• Pre‑load procedure templates (cleanings, fillings, extractions, evaluations) and resolve missing documentation.
• Communicate with providers and internal teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness.
• Organized, process‑driven, and able to manage multiple documentation tasks simultaneously.
• Reliable, independent worker who follows structured workflows.
• Clear communicator with internal teams.

Required skills

• Experience with dental software platforms such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
• Understanding of HIPAA and data confidentiality standards.
