Virtual Medical Assistant – Medical Scribe & Patient Support (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented Virtual Medical Assistant to join a boutique menopause medicine practice. The role is part‑time, remote, and supports live clinical documentation, patient communication, scheduling, payments, and day‑to‑day administrative workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Perform live medical scribing during 1–1.5 hour patient consultations, accurately capturing symptoms, severity ratings, and clinical details using established EMR templates.
• Pre‑populate intake and follow‑up templates, review prior documentation, and become proficient in the practice’s three primary visit workflows.
• Manage patient communication via phone, text, and email; conduct pre‑screening calls, explain the cash‑pay model, and send education materials.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments, handling reminder sequences to reduce cancellations.
• Coordinate upfront payments 1–2 weeks before appointments, communicate expectations, and maintain payment records.
• Retrieve laboratory results from external portals, upload reports to the EMR, and ensure proper document organization.

Required profile

• Experienced medical scribe with a compassionate, professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently as an extension of the physician.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and templates.
