Women Medical Officer – Mobile Clinic, Lakki Marwat

About the role

Normeca International AS is running a mobile multi-diagnostic clinic project in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Islamic Development Bank and the Government of Pakistan. The mobile clinics are fully equipped trailers offering general diagnostics and minor surgery, with kitchens, laundry, dining and conference rooms. Normeca is looking for a Women Medical Officer to provide care to women and children in rural areas, with a focus on women's and children's health. The post is full-time in Lakki Marwat, KP.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to women and children, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
• Carry out routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations and screening tests
• Offer basic gynaecological care and family planning counselling within the limits of non-specialized practice
• Develop and manage personalized treatment plans and educate patients on health management, disease prevention and reproductive health
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and maintain accurate patient records
• Stay updated on medical advances and assist in setting up and dismantling mobile medical units

Required profile

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and a valid medical license to practice as a Women Medical Officer
• Proven experience in women's health and general practice
• Strong knowledge of primary care principles; additional gynaecology training is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in English is an advantage
