WordPress Development Intern

About the role

TalentedDevs, a founder‑led software and web development studio in Karachi, is looking for a motivated WordPress Development Intern. You will work closely with senior staff on client and internal projects, gaining hands‑on experience in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins following best practices.
• Create responsive front‑end layouts using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Migrate content, configure sites, and set up page builders and custom post types.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, debugging, and plugin compatibility checks.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
• Optimize site performance through image compression, caching, and asset minification.
• Apply security hardening guidelines and assist with QA and deployment packaging.

Required profile

• Familiarity with WordPress CMS, theme/plugin installation, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).
• Basic front‑end skills: semantic HTML5, responsive CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript fundamentals.
• Exposure to PHP for simple theme or plugin tweaks.
• Understanding of Git and command‑line basics.
• Awareness of web performance, SEO, and accessibility principles.
• Good communication, time‑management, and ability to follow technical guidance.
