Workshop Operations Manager – Fleet Maintenance

About the role

The Workshop Operations Manager will lead all workshop activities for a commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance is performed safely and efficiently. This position is based in Peshawar and requires regular travel to other operational sites.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee workshop operations, including preventive, corrective and reactive maintenance of diesel, hybrid and electric buses.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory to minimise downtime and optimise workshop workflow.
• Monitor KPI’s such as vehicle turnaround time and maintenance quality, and produce detailed reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, technical standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for procurement and servicing.
• Supervise retrofitting projects and technical upgrades to extend fleet lifecycle.
• Apply advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve complex maintenance issues.
• Implement cost‑optimisation measures while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
• Promote a safety‑first culture and continuous improvement within the workshop.
• Prepare comprehensive operational and technical documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging automotive technologies and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in automotive repair and fleet maintenance, especially diesel, hybrid and electric buses.
• Demonstrated leadership presence without direct people‑management responsibilities.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to travel 20‑30% of the time to coordinate with other locations.
