Accountant – Biomedical Equipment & Supplies

About the role

Diagnostic Solutions, a Lahore‑based supplier of biomedical equipment, RO units, and PCR consumables, is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant. The role supports finance, procurement, sales and service teams by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, prepare monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts receivable and payable.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support working‑capital needs.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance analysis and management reports.
• Calculate and file VAT and withholding tax, coordinating with external tax advisors as required.
• Support inventory valuation and reconciliation for biomedical equipment, RO units and PCR consumables, including cost accounting and write‑offs.
• Assist with budget preparation, periodic forecasting and margin analysis for sales and service contracts.
• Validate invoices and credit notes in collaboration with procurement and sales teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience with double‑entry bookkeeping and month‑end close processes.
• Practical knowledge of Pakistani VAT, withholding tax rules and statutory reporting timelines.
• Experience with inventory accounting for serialized equipment and consumables.
• Strong communication skills in English and Urdu.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage or custom ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and formula auditing.
