Accountant – Full‑time (Lahore)

About the role

Masood Traders, a Lahore‑based textile trading sole proprietorship, is looking for a diligent Accountant to support its commercial operations. The role focuses on accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and maintaining controls over payables, receivables, and inventory.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily sales, purchases, receipts and payments using the company accounting system.
• Issue invoices, track receipts, follow up collections and reconcile customer balances.
• Process supplier invoices, schedule payments and reconcile vendor statements.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, trial balances and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank, ledger and inventory reconciliations, verify costs and support stock reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Pakistani tax and regulatory requirements and assist with statutory filings.
• Handle basic payroll deductions and maintain payroll‑related records.
• Maintain organized filing, support audits and statutory submissions.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping experience with accounts receivable/payable and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of Pakistani tax, regulatory requirements for small businesses and basic payroll deductions.
• Ability to meet month‑end deadlines with strong attention to numerical accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with suppliers, customers and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally or a local ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience preparing monthly financial statements, trial balances and supporting schedules.
• Familiarity with inventory accounting, stock reconciliations and cost verification.
