Accountant & Tax Compliance Officer

About the role

Jarvis Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Accountant & Tax Compliance Officer to oversee tax and regulatory obligations while maintaining accurate financial records. The role supports audit activities and ensures full compliance with Pakistani corporate and tax law.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly and annual income tax returns with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and reconcile sales tax returns.
• Manage withholding tax deductions, file statements (165 & 165A) and handle challan payments.
• Respond to FBR notices, tax assessments and audit proceedings.
• Maintain Active Taxpayer List (ATL) status and monitor vendor compliance.
• File all statutory returns with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), including annual returns and financial statements.
• Update corporate records under the Companies Act, 2017 and coordinate with the Company Secretary for Form A, Form 29, Form 21 filings.
• Maintain general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed asset register and prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Perform bank and inter‑company reconciliations, monitor cash flow and prepare variance analysis.
• Process payroll, including tax deductions, EOBI and PESSI contributions.
• Support external auditors by providing workpapers, schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Mid‑level finance professional with experience in an audit‑firm environment.
• Strong knowledge of Pakistani Income Tax Ordinance 2001, Sales Tax Act 1990 and Companies Act 2017.
• Proven ability to handle statutory filings with FBR and SECP.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet statutory deadlines.
