Product Manager On-Ramp & Swap (100% remote)

About the role

Tether Wallet is our self‑custodial wallet that brings USDT and XAUT directly to users, especially in markets where stable money is hard to access. The role will define and own the strategy for buying and swapping into USDT and XAUT across target markets, ensuring a simple, fast and affordable experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the strategy and roadmap for buying and swapping into USDT and XAUT in Tether Wallet, covering fiat on‑ramps, card payments, local payment methods and token‑to‑token swaps.
• Work with expansion teams to build a deep understanding of each target market, including dominant payment methods, card schemes, bank transfer and instant payment rails, mobile money, local regulation, and active on‑ramp and swap providers.
• Define clear evaluation criteria and select the best on‑ramp or swap partner for each market.
• Lead partners from evaluation to go‑live, coordinating with Legal, Compliance and Business Development on due diligence, commercial terms and contracts.
• Translate partner capabilities and APIs into product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with engineering and design to deliver a seamless in‑app buy and swap experience.
• Define routing logic that offers users the optimal partner and payment method based on country, currency, amount, price and availability.
• Define and track KPIs across the buy and swap funnel, using data to improve conversion, manage partner performance and regularly review market fit.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience in the financial industry (banking, payment service provider, FinTech).
• 3+ years of product management experience in DeFi or crypto.
• Strong understanding of crypto wallets, token swaps, DEX aggregators and on‑chain transaction flows.
• Good knowledge of global payment systems, credit‑card schemes, and local payment methods such as bank transfers, instant rails and mobile money.
• Hands‑on experience integrating fiat on‑ramps, off‑ramps or swap providers into consumer products.
• Proven track record evaluating, selecting and onboarding external partners and managing their performance post‑launch.
• Working knowledge of KYC/AML requirements and their impact on user onboarding and conversion.
• Ability to read partner API documentation, assess integration options and work closely with engineering teams.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience defining funnel KPIs and using data to improve conversion.
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration across time zones.
