Assistant Accountant

About the role

Join Crescent Fibres Limited, a publicly listed textile company, as an Assistant Accountant. You will support accounting and financial controls across yarn, fabrics, and value‑added product operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping, ledgers, and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee petty‑cash transactions.
• Assist with month‑end close and prepare financial schedules.
• Support payroll processing and statutory filings such as sales tax and withholding.
• Coordinate with production and inventory teams for cost accounting.
• Assist internal and external auditors and maintain compliance documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in textiles or manufacturing.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of local tax and statutory requirements (sales tax, withholding).
• Attention to detail, numerical accuracy and analytical ability.
