Assistant Manager – Building Management System (BMS)

About the role

Sky47 is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee the Building Management System (BMS) and related monitoring platforms within its data centre facility in Islamabad. The role ensures safe, reliable and uninterrupted operation of critical electrical, mechanical and environmental systems, supporting Tier III/IV data‑center standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage day‑to‑day operations of the BMS and associated monitoring platforms across the data centre.
• Continuously track alarms, events, trends and system performance for electrical, mechanical and environmental infrastructure.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical and operations teams to respond to and resolve alarms, faults and critical incidents.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance of BMS controllers, field devices, sensors, meters and communication networks.
• Maintain BMS graphics, alarm matrices, system documentation, equipment registers and operational records.
• Ensure integration and proper functionality of BMS with DCIM, EPMS, fire‑alarm, HVAC and other facility monitoring systems.
• Liaise with vendors, OEMs and contractors for troubleshooting, upgrades and AMC activities.
• Guarantee compliance with data‑centre operational standards, safety procedures, PTW and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in BMS/DCIM operations within data centres, critical facilities or large commercial infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of contract law and compliance, with strong attention to detail in documentation.
