Assistant Manager – IT Governance and Security

About the role

The Assistant Manager – IT Governance and Security will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of IT governance frameworks. This role ensures regulatory compliance, mitigates risk, and supports audit activities through close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain IT governance policies, procedures and frameworks aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with IT, information security, internal audit and business units to deploy effective security controls.
• Conduct IT risk assessments, gap analyses and recommend remediation actions.
• Monitor, measure and report governance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
• Lead awareness and training programs on IT governance, policies and best practices.
• Support internal and external audits, coordinating remediation activities.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes and emerging risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecom Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT governance, IT audit or information security.
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM or CGEIT are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IT frameworks and standards (COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, NIST).
• Experience with regulatory compliance, risk assessment and control design.
