Assistant Manager Maintenance & HVAC

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager for Maintenance & HVAC to oversee the efficient operation, maintenance and reliability of plant equipment and HVAC systems within a food‑processing environment. The role combines technical oversight with procurement responsibilities to ensure that all plant utilities and consumables are available when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement cycle including sourcing, RFQs, negotiations and purchase orders.
• Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging and consumables.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams.
• Maintain procurement records, documentation and vendor database.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
• Analyze market trends and identify cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with finance for invoice verification and payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in HVAC systems within an FMCG or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of plant utilities and maintenance planning.
• Good leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
