Assistant Manager Microwave Planning & Performance Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager Microwave Planning & Performance Management will lead end‑to‑end microwave network planning, capacity expansion and performance optimisation across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G access networks. The role ensures efficient use of resources, timely rollout of new sites and proactive mitigation of congestion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan microwave frequency and capacity for the access network, avoiding interference and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with RAN optimisation, BSS civil, and vendor teams to deliver site roll‑outs, re‑homings and upgrades.
• Maintain centralised equipment inventories, reconcile BOQs and manage transmission databases.
• Forecast traffic, analyse network utilisation and develop mitigation plans for congestion.
• Review and optimise microwave topology, propose OPEX‑efficient back‑haul solutions and support corporate customer bandwidth requests.
• Prepare regular progress reports, presentations and strategic proposals for major projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in microwave network planning, capacity management and performance optimisation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast traffic and optimise resources.
