Category Procurement Manager – Active Networks (RAN & Core)

About the role

The Category Procurement Manager for Active Networks (RAN & Core) owns the end‑to‑end strategy and commercial execution for all active network equipment and services. Reporting to the Stream Head of Network Procurement, the role leads a small team of category experts and ensures seamless procurement support for network deployment, modernization and transformation projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the Active Networks procurement category covering RAN, Core Network, OSS, Cloud Infrastructure, Virtualization Platforms, Network Software and Managed Services.
• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
• Lead sourcing activities including RFI/RFQ/RFP management, evaluations, negotiations, contract award and governance.
• Maintain strategic relationships with telecom OEMs, software providers and managed‑service partners.
• Drive commercial negotiations to achieve savings, cost avoidance and value‑creation targets.
• Mentor and coach Procurement Analysts and junior procurement professionals.
• Deliver procurement master plans, spend analytics, dashboards and executive presentations.
• Ensure compliance with JazzWorld procurement policies, audit requirements and contractual obligations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in telecom or network equipment procurement, preferably in a category‑lead role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small team of specialists.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering savings and value creation.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with OEMs, software vendors and service partners.
• Ability to produce strategic sourcing plans, market intelligence and TCO assessments.
