Civil Supervisor

About the role

SMEC is seeking a motivated Civil Supervisor to join the team on a high‑impact hydropower project in Peshawar. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in civil engineering, focusing on project execution, planning, and construction management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering activities for the hydropower project.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor construction progress, report schedule deviations, and ensure compliance with specifications, safety, and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections to verify work aligns with design and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and material specifications.
• Assist in managing resources such as labour, materials, and equipment.
• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on‑site.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline (e.g., B.Sc. Civil Engineering).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction projects.
• Experience in a consultancy environment and a passion for building trusted relationships.
• Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
