Client Accountant

About the role

The Ijaz Group is seeking a full‑time Client Accountant to join its hybrid team in Lahore. You will provide day‑to‑day accounting support for nonprofit clients, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting while maintaining regular communication with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle month‑end and year‑end closing for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, covering A/P, A/R and payroll.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, cash reconciliations and record daily cash activity, receipts, receivables and journal entries.
• Maintain funding and accounts‑receivable logs; resolve invoice and payment issues with client A/P teams.
• Perform bank reconciliations, follow up on outstanding checks and other reconciling items.
• Reconcile funding versus actual expenditures and manage accruals and accrual schedules.
• Build budgets and forecasts as needed and produce recurring financial reports with clear narratives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and speed.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and client accounting service review protocols.
• Support auditors and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Undertake special projects assigned by managers or clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting, including month‑end and year‑end closing, A/P, A/R and payroll.
• Ability to work the specified split‑shift schedule (Monday & Friday 9 am‑5 pm PKT; Tuesday‑Thursday split shift).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate financial reports.
