Corporate Tax Compliance Specialist

About the role

The Specialist – Tax Compliance will support taxation operations across Descon companies, ensuring timely compliance with applicable tax laws. This position offers exposure to SAP‑based taxation processes, regulatory reporting, audits, and day‑to‑day tax compliance activities in a dynamic corporate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the company’s tax database for accuracy and timely record management.
• Prepare tax payments (PSIDs) in line with regulatory requirements.
• Generate and process sales tax invoices through SAP.
• Prepare and file monthly federal sales tax returns within prescribed timelines.
• Support daily tax compliance and reporting activities.
• Utilize SAP to record, track, and monitor tax‑related transactions.
• Assist in automating and continuously improving taxation processes within the SAP environment.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors on taxation matters.
• Help prepare documentation for tax audits and assessments.
• Handle correspondence and submissions with tax authorities and relevant departments.

Required profile

• MBA in Finance/Accounting or CA/ICMA part‑qualified; LLB is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience.

Required skills

• Strong written communication and business correspondence abilities.
• Sound knowledge of SAP and proficiency in major computer applications.
• Basic understanding of prevailing tax laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
