Data Engineer – Finance Systems

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our finance systems. You will work closely with finance stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability for consolidation, regulatory reporting, and profitability analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data models that support finance reporting and analysis.
• Develop, test, and maintain ETL pipelines using tools such as Informatica.
• Map and integrate data from diverse sources to the OFSAA data model.
• Implement data quality and governance processes across finance systems.
• Optimize performance of data processing and reporting workloads.
• Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to integrate new data sources and applications.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulatory reporting requirements.
• Apply AI/ML techniques for data classification, metadata inference, and reconciliation automation.
• Participate in Agile squads, contributing to sprint planning and iterative delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience with finance systems such as OFSAA, financial consolidation, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and within cross‑functional teams.
