DevOps Engineer III

About the role

TimeClock Plus is seeking a DevOps Engineer III to lead the design, implementation, and operation of cloud‑native infrastructure. You will work on high‑scale, distributed systems, ensuring performance, resilience, and cost efficiency while collaborating with engineering, security, and product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy advanced cloud‑native infrastructure on AWS.
• Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for large‑scale applications.
• Own production environments, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Design monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
• Lead incident response, post‑mortems, and mentor junior engineers.
• Drive cloud cost‑optimization and usage analysis.
• Establish security and compliance standards, preparing for audits such as SOC 2.
• Evaluate and introduce new tools and best practices to improve the DevOps ecosystem.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven experience leading large‑scale DevOps projects.
• Strong problem‑solving and incident‑management skills.

Required skills

• AWS services (EC2, RDS, KMS, VPC, IAM, etc.).
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform (preferred).
• CI/CD automation and release engineering.
• Scripting/automation with Python, Bash or similar.
• Monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
• Security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2).
