Digital Acceleration and Operations Governance Lead

About the role

This position drives sustainable change and operational excellence within a bank by reshaping core business functions and acting as the gate‑keeper for all operational changes and new initiatives. The role champions the adoption of new technologies, process re‑engineering, and governance frameworks to ensure efficient, scalable operations aligned with the bank’s long‑term vision.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and approve all proposed operational process changes and new initiatives to ensure strategic alignment and minimal disruption.
• Lead enterprise‑wide digital acceleration programs that redesign core processes using automation, new technologies, and best practices.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of existing operational flows, identify bottlenecks, and drive redesign for greater agility and efficiency.
• Oversee end‑to‑end implementation of digital acceleration projects, including change‑management planning and stakeholder coordination.
• Serve as the primary operational liaison between business units, product teams, and technology groups.
• Create and maintain operational BRDs, change requests, policies, procedures, and guidelines to meet regulatory and internal compliance.
• Implement and monitor governance standards, ensuring alignment with risk, compliance, and control frameworks.
• Collaborate with 2nd Line of Defense (Risk, Compliance, Legal) and audit teams to translate frameworks into actionable processes and track recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading digital transformation or operational governance initiatives within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex operational flows and recommend improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams and senior leadership.
• Deep understanding of regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements applicable to banking operations.
