Faculty Instructor / Senior Instructor – School of Nursing & Midwifery

About the role

The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Aga Khan University seeks a dedicated faculty member to teach undergraduate nursing and midwifery courses. Reporting to the Associate Dean, the instructor will deliver both theoretical and clinical education, ensuring alignment with professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned theoretical and clinical courses, delivering lectures and supervising hands‑on practice.
• Design comprehensive course grids, including curriculum structure, teaching‑learning strategies, assessment methods, and schedules.
• Develop and implement evaluation tools for classroom and clinical instruction, ensuring fairness and objectivity.
• Provide constructive summative and formative feedback to students, fostering self‑directed learning.
• Identify learning challenges and recommend improvement strategies, seeking guidance from senior faculty when needed.
• Serve as an academic advisor for undergraduate students, supporting their professional development.

Required profile

• Ability to teach undergraduate nursing and midwifery courses effectively.
• Experience supervising clinical teaching and integrating theory with practice.
• Competence in curriculum design, assessment implementation, and student feedback.
• Willingness to identify and address learning challenges collaboratively.
