HR Officer – People Operations & Compliance Specialist

About the role

Recruit AI is seeking a highly organized and empathetic HR Officer to lead People Operations and Compliance for a fully remote workforce of about 50 employees. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will manage the full employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and publish job postings, conduct remote video interviews, and create shortlists for executive review.
• Issue employment contracts, offer letters, and policy handbooks in line with legal and company standards.
• Perform Right‑to‑Work verifications, reference checks, and coordinate comprehensive remote onboarding.
• Serve as primary contact for employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Track attendance, sickness, tardiness, and leave records to support workforce planning.
• Manage uniform inventory and logistics for operational needs.
• Coordinate mandatory training modules, monitor participation, and send reminders.
• Maintain accurate digital personnel files and ensure all compliance documentation meets legal requirements.
• Audit timesheets, reconcile payroll data, and submit information for payroll processing.
• Lead probationary reviews at 30‑ and 90‑day milestones.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Experience handling employee relations, disciplinary procedures, and compliance documentation.
• Proven capability to coordinate across multiple departments and support operational HR needs.
