IT Specialist – End‑User Support & Asset Management

About the role

The IT Specialist is responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of company computers, software licences, SaaS subscriptions and backup processes. The role ensures that both office‑based and remote workstations remain secure, reliable and cost‑effective for all employees and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure, provision and deploy new computers, peripherals, user accounts and remote‑access tools.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including location, specifications, warranty status and installed software.
• Monitor availability and performance of office‑hosted computers and resolve hardware, software, network and remote‑access issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, OS and software updates, security patching and hardware upgrades.
• Coordinate repairs, warranty claims and vendor support when needed.
• Support onboarding, transfers and off‑boarding by provisioning or removing access and preparing devices for reassignment.
• Establish and maintain secure remote‑access configurations, revoking access promptly when no longer required.
• Maintain documentation for device configurations, asset history and support procedures.
• Maintain a centralized register of software licences, SaaS subscriptions, renewal dates, owners and costs.
• Monitor licence utilisation and prepare cost‑usage reports with recommendations for renewal, consolidation or cancellation.

Required profile

• Experience managing the full lifecycle of company‑owned computers and related equipment.
• Proven ability to handle software licence and subscription management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for both onsite and remote environments.
• Attention to detail in asset documentation and inventory tracking.
