Mechanical Artisan

About the role

The Mechanical Artisan is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems within an industrial environment. The role involves hands‑on technical work to ensure machinery runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and align mechanical components and machinery.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and condition‑based maintenance (CBM) using diagnostic tools.
• Monitor equipment condition through vibration analysis, temperature monitoring, and thermography to detect early signs of failure.
• Diagnose faults, carry out timely repairs, and replace defective or worn parts.
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Carry out routine inspections to extend equipment lifespan and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, including PM, CBM findings, and RCA reports.

Required profile

• DAE Mechanical or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance or repair.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety regulations.
