Mechanical Engineer – Pumps & Technical Sales

About the role

Hydro Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong pump expertise and technical‑sales experience to join its Lahore team. The role blends on‑site engineering support with client‑facing activities, ensuring optimal pump performance and delivering commercial proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical surveys of pumping installations, diagnose performance issues and produce detailed reports.
• Design or specify pump systems, select appropriate models and define the scope of supply.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates and commercial quotations in coordination with the sales department.
• Perform field commissioning, alignment, vibration checks, testing and troubleshooting of pumps.
• Coordinate with procurement and service teams to secure spare parts and schedule maintenance.
• Deliver client demonstrations, technical presentations and post‑sale support.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as OEM datasheets, spare‑parts lists, warranty records and technical reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with centrifugal and positive‑displacement pumps.
• Proven ability to travel regularly to client sites and conduct field measurements.
• Valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Centrifugal and positive‑displacement pump knowledge (end‑suction, multistage, submersible, rotary).
• Pump performance curves, NPSH, hydraulic calculations and piping system design.
• Field measurement techniques, vibration analysis, alignment and commissioning testing.
• Root‑cause troubleshooting and technical reporting.
• Preparation of technical proposals and cost estimates.
• CAD, pump selection software, MS Office and CRM tools.
